Details of Aga Workshops

Welcome to the 2006 page - We have planned two exciting new days for this year - packing in many practical, yet simple recipes. Taking shortcuts wherever possible with lots of hints and tips for preparing ahead and freezing. Lucy and I enjoy the Workshops and find it challenging each year to find recipes that you all want to make the moment you return home. You will see however that we are doing fewer days in 2006. As time goes by I want to spend more time with my husband Paul and the young and their children, otherwise there are no changes to the days. We still have the lovely Lucinda and Penny too. We do get very booked up so if you wish to come to a course do not leave it too long to book - call Lucy and book a date over the phone. We look forward to welcoming you to Watercroft.

NEW DAYS FOR 2006

Great Aga Food
New ideas for family and friends. How to use your Aga to its best advantage, quick and simple recipes but using the finest ingredients and giving the best results. Recipes which can be cooked all year round with hints and tips for stress free cooking!

A Spectacular Christmas
This is not the classic Christmas - this new day course is all about new ideas to help you over the festive period. Recipes for the family and entertaining in style, with plenty of hints on preparing ahead and freezing.

Gardening Day - Sarah Raven
Sarah Raven is just brilliant and will be back at Watercroft to give a whole day lecture on Colour in your Garden. Sarah writes for the Daily Telegraph and is a regular on BB2 Gardener's World. The day will be hosted by Lucy and myself but Sarah will give a lecture in the morning and afternoon - full of wonderful hints and tips on how to produce a sequence of flowers from early spring to late summer and autumn. You do not have to be an educated gardener, just one that is easily inspired.

REGULAR DAYS

Making the Most of the Aga
If you have not been to one of Mary’s Workshops before, then this is one you are advised to attend first. Mary will equip you with practical tips, as well as provide you with the necessary theory behind Aga cooking. Mary and Lucy will demonstrate a range of mouth-watering recipes and, of course, you get the chance to taste all the food cooked!

Traditional Christmas
This course is as its title describes and is ideal for anyone wanting to learn how to roast the perfect turkey, make the perfect pudding and cake and how to manage the timings on this special day. There are a few extra recipes to use over the festive period.

Lucy Young
Luc has worked with me for 16 years and gives every afternoon demonstration. Lucy has a Cordon Bleu training and has written her first book Secrets from a Country Kitchen. Lucy writes a column for the Aga Magazine and recipes for Aga Links website and Country Kitchen Magazine and has appeared many times on Great Food Live and Great Food Bites. Lucy and I together run the Aga Workshops and develop all the recipes.
